Member's Petition - July 22, 2005

Fellow Patrollers,

Please find links below to a petition requesting a vote of the Patrollers of the National Ski Patrol to amend our Articles of Incorporation. Under Colorado law, if 10% of our members agree to the petition, then the proposed changes will be brought to a vote by all the members at a future date. Again, the petition is just to allow the vote to occur, it does not infer that a member agrees or disagrees with the changes.

The ultimate goal of this petition process is to allow all Patrollers of the National Ski Patrol to have a voice in selecting the direction of our organization. If you care passionately about the NSP, and agree that the membership should have a direct voice in the NSP, please consider supporting the petition. If you previously cared deeply about the NSP but stopped doing so because you felt your voice was not heard, please support the petition as it will allow you to be heard in a very real way. Even if you are happy with the current state of the NSP, please also consider support of the petition as it will allow our leadership to hear directly from you and your fellow Patrollers.

We have tried to make this process as easy as possible for you so that it takes the least amount of time out of your busy lives. Please also talk to your fellow patrollers and pass the word about the petition and encourage others to review the information provided.

Should you wish to mail a hard copy of the response instead, or if you know members without e-mail capability, you will find a link to a printable copy of the petition.

Should you wish to find out more about the issues related to the petition, a "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQ) link is provided below.

Thank you in advance for taking time to consider this petition and to help communicate your thoughts and desires related to the direction of the National Ski Patrol heard by the NSP National Chairman, NSP National Board of Directors and all of the NSP National officers.

Note: Only patrollers registered with NSP in the 2004-2005 ski season are eligible to vote. At this time, registered Alumni are not allowed to vote.
