Rocky Mountain Divison Nordic Clinic 2026: January 30 – February 1, 2026

Come join the Rocky Mountain Division for our annual nordic skills clinic! Three days of skills development and refinement and socialization!

Bring your patrol uniform (but do not wear at Ski Granby Ranch).

Schedule of Events:
Daily 9-4 is the general schedule – refined schedule will be sent out closer to event when attendance numbers are confirme

• Friday: 
  Ski Granby Ranch activities, 8:30 am start (limited to first 20 registrants, do not wear patrol uniform):
  • Tele/Alpine lessons
  • Alpine toboggan handling skills
  • Senior nordic/BC senior patroller check-offs
    OR
  • Free ski (SMR nordic center – wear patrol uniform while skiing at SMR)
• Saturday: Classic technique ski skills, 9:00 am meet at nordic center (SMR Nordic Center)
  • 9 – 11: Lessons (classic beginner & intermediate/advanced)
  • 11 – 12: Lunch, BYO or food for purchase at Skinny Ski Cafe at nordic center
  • 12 – 2: Classic lessons, senior classic skiing clinic or skills check-of
  • 2 – close: additional nordic skills and free ski groups
  • 5:30 pm: Potluck dinner. Patrol will provide pizza and chicken as main dishes – please bring drinks and sides to share (Indian Peaks Lodge – 5:30 pm start)
• Sunday: Classic or skate ski skills clinics, ski skills testing (SMR Nordic Center)
  • 9 – 12: Lessons (skate or classic) and ski testing
  • 12 – close: free ski groups

Gear Information:
Participants may provide their own gear or may rent from the nordic center (we are working on getting a group discount for rentals) . Gear should be appropriate for
in-bounds nordic track skiing (tracks are typically 70 mm wide, so anything wider will not work well) and alpine backcountry (AT, telemark, splitboard) skiing for Friday activities at Ski Granby Ranch.
